Graham Heaton: Club Coach

Graham is a founder of the Halton Judo Club, having previously coached at Saints Judo Club in St Helens and Warrington Warjukwai.  Graham started Judo at the age of 9 in St Helens, and progressed to a 4th Dan.  He has been coaching for 20 years. He has an outstanding track record of developing talent, having coached players to the highest levels, including International players, and Champions in the Commonwealth and European Junior Championships.  Although he has been extremely successful at developing competitive Judo players, Graham enjoys coaching players of all levels, and particularly welcomes those who are looking to develop their fitness and have some fun!


Neil Heaton: Level 2 Club Coach

Neil is currently 1st Dan and supported his brother Graham in founding Halton Judo Club. He previously trained at Warrington Warjukwai. Neil started Judo at the age of 11 at Saints Judo Club, but left the sport after a couple of years, returning in 2004 at Warrington.  From late 2004, Neil progressed from top Orange to 1st Kyu, and won Gold at the 4 Counties Tournament.  He achieved his level 1 coaching in December 2006 and has recently completed his level 2 coaching award, he also completed the sports coach uk for safeguarding and protecting children in February 07.  Neil is CRB checked and a qualified First Aider.
